Band was spawnned around 1988 formerly known as RANCID BUTCHER .band members were King Caneda aka Mr.Steele(vocals),Arnold Ang(guitar) and Lyndon Kaindoy(bass) of 40 the Band,Makk Estrella(guitar),Sodom Gonzalez(drums).influences CELTIC FROST,KREATOR,SLAYER,SODOM mostly THRASH METAL…………In 1990 Makk formed the band HAMMERHEAD with former drummer Sodom…..and eventually got replaced by Peter as the drummer.After 2 years sodom and makk got back together to form SIGNOS.this time Sodom was to be their frontman with Makk on lead guitar,Glenn Dacua(guitar),Randy Nadela(bass) and Ronnie Llaban from Malignant..The band was the very 1st to launch an EP (Eternal Sleep) in the underground death metal scene….did several gigs around the visayas and opened for some mainstream band which came to perform in CEBU like yano and eraserheads.This was a turning point for Cebu’s underground scene which prompted them to form a society called DEMONOCIETY which consists of aspiring death metal bands and in 1994 all the bands came together and their 1st major gig(Eternal Rest)at Philsite…….with bands performing OROM,SANTILMO,TODOS LOS SANTOS,SOULLESS,KUNDINADO,AND MANY MORE………..during the hiatus of SIGNOS sodom did a side project called SODOM and the GAHD MACHINE(Raw Industrial)and released a full length album in 1995 around this time the band was a bit shake and Ronnie (drummer)decided to quit the band…..sodom and makk saw a potential in Rico Mediano a drummer frm Soulless and asked him to join and replace ronnie…….later that year frontman SODOM was still unsatisfied with the music he was making and was seeking fresher and original ideas which eventually Burned him out and shaved his head…..this was his way of preserving the scene from becoming “BADUY”he was not into the whole idea that DEATH METAL was becomming popular even to those people who see it as just a “FAD”but not a way of life.
